Andressa Santos has a degree in nursing from Faculdade Arthur Sá Earp Neto (2012), a postgraduate degree in highly complex patients with an emphasis on ICU, and an MBA in hospital management. She has 16 years of in-hospital experience in various units such as medical, surgical, outpatient, emergency and polytrauma clinics. She says, “I was responsible for implementing several managed protocols, including the stroke protocol, where we mapped the entire flow of care at a private institution. I am also the creator of the implementation of the stroke care protocol in the city where I live.”
Working on the Angels Initiative and helping to expand knowledge about appropriate stroke treatment to minimise sequelae is a dream come true, Andressa says. “I see this challenge as a great opportunity for the country to develop and reduce the number of people with irreversible consequences.”
